What is Barre?

Barre fitness is a hybrid of ballet inspired movements, combined with the stretch elements of yoga and the core strength of pilates. Barre fitness uses the support of the ballet barre itself, therefore offers great stability and balance for the elderly or pregnant. 

Barre fitness’ low interval training format is perfectly designed for every age and fitness level. You do not need to be fit, so can start at anytime and at any stage with Barre fitness.

With our boutique class size, barre is also perfect for rehabilitation. Barre fitness will leave you feeling stronger and taller.

Why Barre?

Life takes us out of balance. Sitting, driving, spending hours typing on a keyboard-all of this creates an imbalance in the body, giving us slumped shoulders, a rounded spine, and a lopsided stance. When our body is shaped this way it can’t function properly, and everything we do-including exercise-exacerbates the problem.

That’s why finding balance is at the core of what we do. It starts with our workouts: Every Barre class works strategically to build strength and flexibility for optimal body balance and improved posture. Your Barre practice will give you proportion in the body that is shapely and attractive.* But body balance is more than losing weight and building muscle tone. When we stand tall with ease, a positive chain of benefits happens beyond what we see in the mirror. With body balance comes improved digestion, increased energy, minimised risk of injury, a clear mind, and a healthier and happier way of life.

All classes for the rest of term 1 will be held virtually online! Please come along to Cambridge Lake at 6PM on Tuesday for a community outdoor class. Simply BYO chair (any regular dining chair will work), your water, a towel and a smile. We hope to see you there

  • 12-24 hour cancellation notice required for class refund
  • Concession cards and term fees are non refundable

I'm so excited for my first class!

I've booked in, now what's next?

Massive congratulations for booking into your first class! You will receive a confirmation email for your class from our booking system.

Before your first class we ask that you arrive a few moments early to fill out a quick form.

Come in comfortable workout clothing (tights and a loose top, crop top, singlet, whatever floats your boat!). We workout with bare feet unless you have grippy socks (which you can also purchase from us). Then just bring a towel for floor work, a water bottle, an open mind and a smile!

Bespoke Party Services Available

​Planning a hens do? Needing ideas for a birthday party? Something different for a team building event? Or maybe a girls weekend?

In Studio Package

This package includes a one-hour instructor-led lesson where you’ll learn the fundamentals of barre. You’ll also be taught some fun moves to keep those legs and arms toned at home. Max 15 people. If you have a larger group, please contact us to discuss a bespoke party. Min $150. $35 pp. 90 mins. 


Sparkle Package 

The package includes everything in the 'in studio package', plus a glass of bubbles after your barre class. Max 15 people. If you have a larger group, please contact us to discuss a bespoke party. Min $200. $40 pp. 90 mins. (Travel costs will be added for those outside Cambridge / Hamilton)


Full bliss Package 
The package includes everything in the 'in studio package', plus a smoothie bowl workshop and tasting after your barre class. Max 15 people. If you have a larger group, please contact us to discuss a bespoke party. Min $250. $50 pp. 120 mins. (Travel costs will be added for those outside Cambridge / Hamilton)
