What is Pilates?

Pilates is a combination of stretching and strengthening exercises that emphasise body symmetry and abdominal control. Core exercises are designed to create an awareness of the deep torso muscles and to re-pattern any muscular-skeletal imbalances. All pilates movements are co-ordinated with breathing patterns and body alignment to provide maximum results.

CORE & STRETCH

Level: Beginner
The perfect way to wind down.

This luxurious 60 minute core & stretch class releases tired and tight muscles, calms the mind and strengthens your core. Incorporating aspects of yoga you'll leave this class feeling taller and zen. This class is hugely complimentary to your other barre classes & extracurriculars.

Who this class is best for:
There are no prerequisites and all levels are welcome. Perfect for those who are looking for the benefits from both yoga and pilates in one class.

Pilates is a controlled approach to mind and body fitness and combines strengthening, stretching, breathing and controlled movements.  It is an effective and safe workout that is suitable for all ages, gender and fitness levels.  Pilates is progression-based fitness. Pilates technique engages the mind and the body to provide a full body workout.
